    Cleaner - Central Library & Museum
    23 Hours per week
    £22,.00 (Pro-rata)

    Newport Norse represents the highly successful joint venture between Norse Group and Newport City Council, providing contract cleaning services across the local area.

    This position is being offered on a part time, permanent contract working 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

    We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Cleaner for Central Library & Museum in Newport. It will be your responsibility to ensure the site is kept clean secure and maintained; undertaking several cleaning duties as required.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Report any defects or issues to the Area Supervisor
  • Ensure all health and safety is followed
  • Provide excellent customer service

    • We will provide full training if you have not worked within the industry before, but ideally we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in a cleaning, janitorial position
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations that are relevant to the post, including using relevant machinery and products
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing your own workload
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with members of the public and the client
