    There is a need for significant increases in allied health professionals to address known workforce shortages and to support the Covid-19 restart and regrowth strategies.

    We are looking for a podiatry workforce fellow, to support the NHSE WT&E Regional Head of AHPs to work with local Integrated Care Systems (ICSs)/Boards (ICBs) to provide support to drive the podiatry apprenticeship readiness and uptake.

    Main duties of the job

    Do you aspire to be an AHP leader of the future? We are looking for a highly motivated senior podiatrist with HCPC registration and a good understanding of the current podiatry workforce challenges across London.

    This post will work across London, hosted by the trust and work closely with NHSE Workforce Training and Education Capital AHP Team.

    This is an excellent opportunity for personal, professional and leadership development for a podiatrist with a specific interest in workforce improvement and transformation.

    You will be able to evidence existing workforce and project leadership. Successful delivery is dependent on collaborative working and the ability to develop relationships so being able to demonstrate strong communication and negotiating skills is essential.

    You will be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and be keen to apply and grow your excellent organisational skills.

    This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of AHP policy, and gain experience in. Postholders will also benefit from mentoring and development from existing AHP Heads/Leads in the regional and national teams.

    This is a varied and challenging role with a wide reach across London NHSE, the national team and delivery partners across the NHS landscape.
    The postholder will report to the NHSE WT&E Regional Head of AHPs, London.
