The primary responsibility of the role is to maximise the flight efficiencies within the navigational database and flight planning process in order to deliver associated cost savings to the business.


Requirements of the Role


The Navigation Planning Officer will be accountable for providing continuous evaluation/maintenance of stored company routes and LIDO optimised routes so previous experience in this is required.

As you will be liaising with Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and Eurocontrol to identify and deliver flight planning efficiencies, previous experience in an airline is essential.

You will be supporting the Senior Navigation Specialist, the Navigation Technical Specialist (NTS), and supporting with business critical cross functional projects that deliver flight planning efficiencies.

In addition, supporting the SNS with airport assessments and FMS management processes.


This role will see you assessing the impact of proposed airspace design changes in terms of flight efficiency and challenging inefficiencies in order to minimise operational cost to easyJet.

When required the Navigation Planning Officer will also provide operational cover to the Flight Planning Officer (FPO) position.

Location & Hours of Work


This full-time role will be based in Luton, and will be worked on a shift pattern between 10 and 12 hours shifts.

Typically from 0600am-1800pm (Early shift), or 1200noon-2200pm (Late shift).
