    Description

    Job Purpose

    Checking quality requirements across the Wrights Food Group, ensuring that product is manufacture in line with Factory Product Specifications, Food Safety, Food Legality, Factory Hygiene Standards. Reporting any NCRs and GMP issues.

    Main Duties

    • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors, across all facilities, by strict enforcement of WFG Health and Safety ( H&S ) Policy and by developing a proactive culture to reducing accidents .
    • Ensure products are checked against the weight and dimension specifications and report any out of spec issues.
    • Taking environmental swabs, air plates, water testing and collecting products, to register and send for micro testing
    • Monitor hygiene standards throughout the factory and reporting any issues so that cleaning can be arranged of machinery and / or areas.
    • Carrying out Glass, Plastic, Brittle Plastic, Ceramics and GMP Audit Checks and completing a nonconformance and / or Engineering Job sheet, where required.
    • Working with the New Product Development, assisting in Factory Trials with carrying out weights and taking photos where required.
    • Ensure we are working with up-to-date factory online and packaging specifications.
    • Carry out internal audits to the required schedules, ensure all factory paperwork is fully audited and checked before filing away.
    • Where any issues are raised, complete a nonconformance and / or Engineering Job sheet, where required.
    • Ensure daily taste panels are collected and carried out.
    • Manual temperature checks on all chillers and freezers throughout the factory.
    • Ensure internal calibrations are carried out on a daily and weekly basis and report any issues.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Experienced QA Operative with knowledge of meeting customer product quality. expectations and site accreditation standards.
    • Knowledge of Quality Assurance / Food Safety systems.
    • Sound numerical and negotiation skills.
    • Good level of IT skills (e.g., Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook)
    • Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
    • Energy, drive, and determination to succeed.
