Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join a global manufacturing business in Blackburn on a temporary basis for up to 9 months.

Joining this fast growing and successful business with over £2 billion annual sales, covering the Senior Buyer's maternity leave, you will be reporting to the Procurement Manager and have two Buyers reporting into you.

As Senior Buyer, your key responsibilities will include

Procurement of materials and parts in line with MRP requirements
Buying goods with consideration to raw material availability, minimum order quantity, total value, packaging and storage
Delivering productivity savings and opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements
Building relationships with new and existing suppliers as well as with internal stakeholders to understand upcoming requirements and ensure supply of goods in advance, making decisions about inventory levels
Responsible for supply chain activities within procurement, including business review meetings with key suppliers to align expectations with on time deliveries and quality levels

Pay & Benefits
- £ £20.52 per hour (£35,000 - £40,000 per annum) depending upon experience

37.5hour week flexi time with core office hours 9:30am2:30pm
