    Job Title: Project Engineer/Field Engineer

    Location: Crawley

    Role Type: Permanent - £45-£60K, plus benefits

    Monday to Friday: Full time- Onsite

    We have been asked to secure suitable candidates for a Project/Field Engineering position based on a major portfolio of work within the Infrastructure/Aviation sector.

    This is a Client side role and will focus on a range of civil engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will manage engineering design activities on a single or multiple projects from inception through to handover.

    As a Field Engineer (NEC Construction) you will work closely with the Project Management team to supervise multi-disciplined construction projects.

    Reporting into the Senior Field Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex projects, working closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects and involved in the end-to-end process.

    Other duties include:

    • Delivering regular site safety engagement on responsible projects, to ensure an emphasis on and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and promoting a positive HSE culture
    • Reviewing contactor CDM and quality and commissioning submittals for quality and compliance
    • Inspecting work within to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
    • Coordinating with electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues to ensure all works are installed to plan

    Key Experience required

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management discipline or equivalent
    • Senior engineer with experience in the engineering and construction of medium to large infrastructure projects.
    • Experience as a Field Engineer, NEC Supervisor or Clerk of Works (within Construction/Civil Engineering) on multi-year and £multi-million projects with a value typically up to £10 million
    • Experience in handover and closeout of projects
    • Experience in addressing HSE issues associated with construction
    • Understanding and knowledge of quality management
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management discipline or equivalent
    • Managing multi complex stakeholders
    • Working knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and business planning software is essential.
