    Description

    We are currently working with a prestigious Witham based independent family company who are now recruiting for a Skilled Production Operator to support their busy production operation.
    The company continues to experience rapid growth and there are great opportunities for a Skilled Production Operator to join a highly successful business.

    This role is permanent for the successful candidate.

    Duties:

    • Operate and change over different types of filling & labelling equipment safely and efficiently
    • Accountable for running a variety of filling machines or creating liquids and blends
    • Work safely and considerately following working systems of the department
    • Deliver high quality products through ensuring production and product labelling meet quality requirements
    • Following all relevant procedures and reporting any issues of products
    • This is an operational role which will involve some physical activity and close liaison with a large team of directly employed and temporary staff
    • Meet the company standards and support other staff members
    • Completion of any relevant documentation

    Experience required:

    • Experience with working in a manufacturing environment and operating production equipment
    • You will have experience of working in a safety culture and to high standards of quality in a controlled environment
    • Team player with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
    • A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade A-C including maths or equivalent.
    • Ability to complete induction training for new staff and maintain standards
    • Experience risk assessments
    • Experience of stock control
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with good numerical skills

    Pay and Hours:

    • Monday - Friday (4-day week, day off set by the company)
    • 07:00-17:15
    • 23,400 p/a (starting salary)
