Our client is looking for an experience transport clerk on a temp to perm basis to work in a new super hub being created, this is an exciting opportunity to join a new team and play apart in the implementation, offering new ideas and concepts to help in the success of this new site.

Job Description

• Manage and coordinate logistics operations.
• Maintain detailed records of dispatched goods.
• Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Resolve any arising issues or complaints in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with transport policies and regulations.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
• Optimise transportation workflows for maximum efficiency.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of transport processes.
• Yard management communicating with shunters and warehouse staff to ensure smooth running.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience in the transport and distribution industry.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of transport regulations and policies.
• Computer Literate
• Knowledge of Syncrotess system would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
• Be flexible with working hours.

Pay/Shifts

• £11.96ph (PM Shift 11:00 – 19:30)
• £13.29ph (Night Shift 19:00 – 03:30)
