An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.

Vacancy Brief:

The role is that of a Mutual Exchange Housing Officer; this is an initial 3-to-4-month contract covering sickness.
This is a full-time role; 37.5 hours a week.
Monday – Friday 9 – 5 pm (Potential Hybrid working being offered)
Pay rate for this role is £18.10 per hour on PAYE OR £23.06 Umbrella.
Based in Norfolk (This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from the office in Norfolk and travel to other offices)

The Responsibilities:

The successful candidate for the Housing Officer post will be required to manage and oversee applications from tenants for Mutual Exchanges.
In your job role as a as a Housing Officer, you will investigate and approve or decline applications for Mutual Exchanges and alterations, adhering to legislation and covenants.
In your role as a Housing Officer, you will need to provide the Neighbourhood team with all documentation related to Mutual Exchanges in line with the organisation's procedures and timescales.
Part of your role as a Housing Officer, you will have an understanding of when planning permission is required.
As a Housing officer, you will conduct property visits where applicable before approvals for alterations are granted, during the process and once works are completed.

The Right Fit:

CIH qualification or 5 years of housing experience
Experience of working within a Customer Services role
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection of business information.
Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various audiences both in writing and verbally.
Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet targets. Able to work as part of a team and work independently without the need of close supervision.
Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when recording information.
Possess good IT skills to include use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
