    Description

    MERJE are partnered with one of the UK's largest independent investment management and stockbroking firms in their search for a talented Financial Controller.

    In this role you will playa vital, senior positionin ensuring theFinance department is working effectively, efficiently and to the highest standards of financial integrity.

    You would be the leader of theFinance and Reconciliations teams, providing coaching and support to allow the team to be successful in its roles.

    Overseeing the production of monthly and annual accounts;
    Enhancing financial analysis and internal reporting;
    Ensuring reconciliation requirements across the teams are met, including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations and external stock reconciliations;
    Monitoring and managing the Firm's cash flow;
    Liaising with auditors to ensure successful annual audits;
    Leading on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for your teams.

    We are looking for someone who knows how to get the best out of their teams and has an experienced eye for finance.

    Accounting Qualification.

    Once you are settled into the role, you will be able to take on more responsibility within the team and have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience further through CPD and other development opportunities.

    For someone who is keen to progress in this field, there will be developmental and coaching support provided for you to potentially progress into a more senior role in the future.
