    At IAG Loyalty, we are at the forefront of designing and developing cutting-edge loyalty programmes for leading airlines within the International Airlines Group (IAG). Our Loyalty Platform empowers our partners to enhance their loyalty schemes and offer customers seamless conversion and combination of loyalty points to Avios, all with minimal human interaction. We're now offering the opportunity for a Tech Lead to join the team and play a pivotal role in revolutionising our Exchange product.

    Collaborating closely with Product Owners, you'll be instrumental in architecting innovative solutions and driving the technical direction of our Exchange product based on the current roadmap. Your expertise will allow us to deliver new partnerships as well as enhance existing ones with industry leaders such as Nectar, BP, and Qatar. Leading a talented team, you'll oversee the technical design, delivery, and operation of the Exchange Product within the overall Collection team, while fostering a culture of inclusivity and reliability.

    You appreciate the need for consistent data domain models and architecture, and you're always looking at opportunities to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of our products and ensure we have seamless integration into our web and mobile channels. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including product owners, business sponsors, and designers, will be essential to your success.

    You'll also add value by:

    Ensuring the product is developed to a high standard by leveraging appropriate testing methodologies, participating in code reviews, and utilizing static analysis tools.

    Overseeing the delivery of technical enablement products, such as notifications service, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

    Becoming the team's technical evangelist, staying abreast of industry advancements and bringing in innovations that benefit our business.

    Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for internal teams and external customers, using the right level of detail and tone of voice.

    Taking a proactive, data-driven approach to monitoring and implementing improvements.

    What you'll ideally be able to bring to the team:

  • A strong technical background in a senior/lead role, with a proven track record in developing scalable, high-quality, and high-performance software products.
  • The ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proficiency in multiple programming languages and platforms, such as JavaScript, Terraform, React etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) and DevOps practices
  • An extensive knowledge of APIs, architecture, and industry standards like OAuth with config management and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation (Terraform preferred)
  • You're comfortable assessing feasibility and technical constraints, and adept at architecting solutions
  • Experience working in agile teams, delivering customer value, and fostering innovation.

  • This role will be based out of our London office (Thomas House, Eccleston Square). We have a flexible working policy where a blended approach is encouraged, with the focus on being in the correct location for the work that needs to be undertaken. This will involve a mix of office and home working
