    We are looking for a Library and Learning Advisor to join our Library team. In this role, you will support and assist students, staff, and visitors, delivering information and answering first line enquiries about a wide range of Library and Learning services.

    You will provide help and support across all areas of service to meet users' needs as fully as possible, responding to all enquiries in accordance with agreed procedures and providing clear, one-step referral to those that require input from specialist teams.

    In addition, you will participate in general user access and lending tasks, including membership related liaison, library borrower account management, negotiating queries, and supporting all our users in the building and those studying remotely.

    About you

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with excellent customer service skills. You will be able to deal with multiple enquiries both at our busy Library Welcome Desk and online, and will help to maintain a pleasant environment to meet student needs.

    There is an expectation that the post holder will work some evening sessions and that they will be a key decision maker and point of contact for any issues that arise. Good interpersonal skills and cultural awareness and an ability to manage your own workload and to support self-service operations are also essential.

    This full-time role requires the post-holder to work flexible hours under the annualised hour scheme.
