Job Title:
Personal Assistant

Hours per week: 6 hours per week. To be worked over 1 or 2 days a week depending on activity. The days and hours are flexible, and will be mutually agreed in advance. Weekend days will be required to be worked.

£12.50 per hour

This job role is to take a young gentleman with autism out and about in the community, to do 1:1 activities that he enjoys, and to support with giving him confidence and independence away from his family.

Task and duties, to include any or all of the following:

To take the young gentleman out in the community to support with one to one activities that he enjoys, such as walking and swimming.

Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.

Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

Personal Specification

Establish a professional standard of care which should be maintained at all times.

Respect and safeguard the goods and property of the family.

Respect the privacy of the family and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Be trustworthy and kind

Be punctual, reliable and have some degree of flexibility, with a view to possibly undertaking overtime.

Be enthusiastic and be open to new experiences.

Bear in mind that the role is one of empowerment for the service user.

The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references
