Job Summary:


As Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for the service delivery of high quality, reliable and valid end-point training and assessment, which is consistent, comparable and exceeds the regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with external qualification bodies.


You will also have responsibility for associated projects which complement our objectives and build our service offering in terms of capacity and capability.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • To lead and manage the activities of the Training Coordinators and Administrators on a daytoday basis.
  • To manage the accurate recording of training certifications, and qualifications on our learning management system and the production of accurate reports as required.
  • Maintain and develop effective communication and working relationships, both external and internal with peer group, wider teams, colleagues, and other divisions.
  • To ensure relevant systems, LMS and CRM are updated correctly through auditing and reporting.
  • Build strong and effective client relationships to ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and the maximise revenue opportunities for business through delivering a valued added service.
  • Ensure relevant training courses are scheduled and details are shared with the employees and divisions, tracking course completion and reminders for course deadlines and qualification expiry dates.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders and industry groups to maximise the strategic positioning of the Centre.
  • Develop a growth strategy with Training & Assessment Manager and Marketing to positively impact revenue.
  • Identify cost efficiencies to enhance margin potential.
  • Liaise with management to proactively identify topics to be addressed, areas in need of additional instruction, and any new educational needs.
  • To prepare and analyse statistical and other data.
  • To support, train, develop and annually appraise the team members for which the post holder is responsible.
  • To provide accurate information and advice on policies, regulations and processes relating to assessment.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluation of training as required.
  • Accurately record and monitor budget expenditure in respect of qualifications and training undertaken.
  • Support funding submissions to external bodies.
  • Support the continual improvement in the service offering of the training function and resolve issues in an effective and timely manner.
  • Responsibility of accreditations and awarding bodies i.e., CPCS, NPORS, for certification and audits
  • Travel requirements: the role will be allocated to a specific office base, and there may be a need for flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis at other locations or from home.
  • Provide adequate cover for the Training & Assessment Manager in managing training resources, equipment, and trainers to ensure they are available and serviceable.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work under pressure for sustained periods and maintain a high standard of productivity, attention to detail and leadership.
  • Must have some existing knowledge training procedures, methods, and techniques, including knowledge of training cards/tickets e.g., CSCS, CPCS, and NPORS.
  • Ensure personal data is processes in line with GDPR guidelines.
  • Demonstrable experience in a key role of responsibility, relating to quality assurance of education, standards and/or frameworks.
  • Will have experience of engaging with and building relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and operational delivery, driving continuous service improvements.
  • Experience of developing and implementing effective reporting metrics, working to measure and exceed performance requirements.
  • High level of communication and presentational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, able to influence internally and externally.
  • Strong team leadership skills to develop a high performing team.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and assessment from either a qualification and/or apprenticeship endpoint assessment perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexibly to support the overall aims of the team and changing priorities.
