Our amazing #TeamNLSLHolytown are on the lookout for 2 outgoing and enthusiastic *female colleagues with an interest in listening to music and trying new things to join them as Support Practitioner.


You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even put you through your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too


As the person we support has their own mobility car it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence for this role.

The Role


You will be joining a small, friendly team who supports a sociable and welcoming young man with a great sense of humour, who loves to ask you a question He enjoys an active life and joining in lots of group activities such as reading groups and "the GESH" a disco held in Easterhouse.

He has a keen interest in music and can spend hours listening to his CDs and likes to show his keyboard skills to you.


As a Support Practitioner, you'll play a crucial role in supporting with all aspects of daily living including support with housework, administration of medication, assistance with personal care and the management of personal finances.

There is never a dull moment at Sunnyside and we'll be looking to you to take an active interest in his hobbies and work with young man to achieve his goals.


To be a great Support Practitioner, you'll be:

  • naturally empathetic person with a warm, friendly personality
- able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills and set clear boundaries
- able to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships different people
- adaptable, confident when lone working and able to use your initiative
- confident in using computers with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- reliable, flexible and responsive to meet the changing needs of the people we support


Shift Patterns
Our dedicated team provide individual tailored support 24/7 including weekends and public holidays.

Shifts fall between 8am to 10pm with a sleepover.
Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you'll receive an additional £105 per sleepover.
