A Food Manufacturing company are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic fast paced factory team.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will optimise machinery output and product quality to minimise plant downtime through effective preventativemaintenance and efficient response.

As a Maintenance Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

Responding to reactive machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Shift Supervisor and Manager and work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption.
Assist in building an uptodate preventative maintenance system and ensuring regular planned maintenance is carried out.
Identifying root causes and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns from occurring.
Participate in mechanical and electrical projects.
Ensure all activities are carried out within company and legislative health and safety and environmental guidelines reporting any issues.
Follow the communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise downtime by following a good engineering practice.

An exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with the following.

Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experienced working within a fastpaced manufacturing environment
Previous exposure to mechanical processes and assemblies including electrical or welding/fabrication experience.
An understanding of PLC's, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
Competent with basic Microsoft Packages including Excel and Word.
IEE 17th or 18th edition desirable.
