The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join the nursing team at Uppingham School as a Bank Nurse.
The Health Centre is integral to the school community and provides a comprehensive range of health services for all pupils and a first aid service for all staff, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during term time. The school nursing team provide high quality, clinically effective health care, actively promote healthy lifestyles and support the whole school community in maintaining high levels of pastoral care for its pupils. The Health Centre is committed to providing ongoing professional education and development in line with NMC requirements.
The Health Centre requires a nurse on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during term time therefore shift patterns may include days, nights and/or weekends with some additional contracted hours during the school closure period. Shift patterns are agreed with the Lead Nurse.
The successful candidates will have relevant post registration experience which may include School Nursing, Practice Nursing, Emergency Department or Walk-in-Centre Nursing.
