CASUAL OPPORTUNITY

Pineapples Summer Camp; The Specialist Inclusion Project runs a Summer Camp for young people aged 8-18 with disabilities. The Camp is an opportunity to stay away from home, at Ingleborough Hall (Settle North Yorkshire), Ingleborough Hall is a large outdoor education centre, with 106 rooms and beautiful grounds, nestled in the lovely small village of Clapham it's the perfect location for our Camps. Monday to Friday, whilst participating in activity day and evening. These activities range from canoeing, caving, trips out, swimming, water play, Movies and games.


Pineapples Summer Camp is now in its fifth year, and the Camp continues to grow and thrive We have a fantastic staff team that supports all Summer, but we need additional staff for our growing scheme in 2023.


Who are we looking for?


Energetic and engaging staff to support the core staff team in delivering a safe, secure and nurturing environment for young people to enjoy their experience of Camp.

You need to be able and willing to get involved and be fully hands-on; this is not an observational role.

This means you will be tree climbing, football play, dancing, singing and getting a bit wet a time or two

  • 25th August 2023**
    29th 1st September 2023

We have an excellent friendly, and ambitious team that offers great support and training.

You will gain invaluable experience with SEND young people and be part of a young person's core memory of a great Summer experience.

We can offer overnight accommodation during camps, and meals are included on shift.

We need?

Causal Support Staff - to work from 8 am till 10 pm daily during camps.

Casual Support Night Staff - to work from 10 pm till 8 am during camps.


Working hours can be arranged and suited to need, however we do need staff that can commit to at least 2 weeks of the scheme.


You need?

  • You must have at least
    six months of experience **working or in a voluntary capacity with Children or people with disabilities and complex health needs. This can include experience with siblings or family members.
  • You must be willing to engage in paid training, and information events before the Summer Camp.
