Job description:

Join us as a Culture Measurement Consultant

  • In this key role, you'll continuously and proactively improve the quality and effectiveness of culture insights and reporting to the bank and legal entity boards, providing robust independent assessment of culture in each legal entity
  • You'll design and enhance the enterprisewide analysis and reporting of culture of compliance, providing robust independent assessment, particularity for the NatWest Markets ExCo, the Department of Justice Monitor and NWM Project Post ESG

What you'll do:


As a Culture Measurement Consultant, you'll lead the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide solution to identify areas where proactive intervention is required to improve their culture of compliance.

This will involve setting up and managing analytical capability, key driver analysis and exception reporting of outlier scores using Our View and pulse survey data.

You'll prepare regular progress updates on the implementation of the programme for key stakeholders, primarily but not limited to NatWest Markets ExCo, the Department of Justice Monitor and NWM Project Post ESG.


We'll look to you to create and manage new culture pulse surveys for NWG including NWM and colleagues that support NWM on key culture drivers, including culture, compliance, trust, management effectiveness, ethics, reputation, speak up and conduct.

You'll also be working with control functions including NWM risk, compliance, supervision, audit and HR to identify bottom quartile teams and supporting with shaping the proposals to share with NWM ExCo and management regarding appropriate remediation plans.


Your role also involves:

  • Collaborating and consulting with stakeholders, peers and project team resources to successfully deliver outcomes that improve colleague experience and customer service
  • Developing our redflag rankings approach for teams, based on aggregate compliance, culture, leadership, ethics and trust measures
  • Working closely with Compliance and Conduct teams to align work and facilitate delivery within our compliance framework
  • Working with the Culture Measurement Lead to incorporate a supplementary update on the Department of Justice monitorship, implications and outcomes within the sixmonthly culture assessments which are reported to NWG and NWM ExCos and Boards
  • Writing and maintaining manager support guides on proactive steps that can be taken to improve areas that need intervention, such as compliance, ethics, risk, leadership, culture or conduct
  • Designing and administering a tailored 360 feedback tool focussed on culture drivers and compliance to be used as part of the interventions wherever managers or teams require support
  • Leading and facilitating virtual focus groups as required, to support leaders
  • Identifying, managing and monitoring risks and issues in line with the Group's risk governance

The skills you'll need:


As a seasoned professional, you'll have strong knowledge of organisational culture development of culture measurement approaches, including qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

We'll look for the ability to represent the bank with external bodies on culture measurement approaches. You'll be a critical thinker, with the proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders.


You'll also demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and understanding of culture consultancy
  • Proven ability to interpret data and identify trends and insights in relation to organisational culture
  • Expertise in using appropriate project management tools and methodologies
  • The ability to write reports that inform and engage at all levels
  • Excellent commercial acumen with a focus on the customer
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present confidently at all levels
