    Junior Lighting Controls Commissioning Engineer | Thirsk, North Yorkshire | Full Time | c. £We are a leading lighting design and Lutron lighting controls dealer. We are seeking to recruit a Junior Lighting Controls Engineer. Based in North Yorkshire, we work on highly prestigious projects across the UK and occasionally abroad.

    The successful candidate will be electrically qualified and/or very competent, with experience of working in residential construction, but without necessarily any previous experience in lighting controls.

    Attitude and ability to learn are more important than lighting controls experience, as we will intensively train and develop.

    The role would suit an electrician who would like to expand their horizons and develop a real expertise working at the top end of the lighting field.

    As both a leading lighting design firm and a Diamond level Lutron dealer we have a unique 'end to end' approach, and a very close working relationship with our clients.

    5 hours of the office.) Projects are northern biased but the team work nationally and being onsite when required are important.

    This role is perfect for someone looking to grow – whilst the 'start point' in the role is Lutron lighting controls/blinds installation and programming, our client would expect the successful applicant to (over time) develop the skills do a much broader project management and client/site leadership and liaison role.

    For any new member of the team, the employer expects to do a lot of training either on courses or on the job.

    At least 3 years experience of working in high end residential construction.
    # With experience of lighting or AV controls an advantage but not essential.
    # Networking (IT) experience an advantage but not essential.
    # Willing and able to travel to project sites. the role is not entirely office based but it's not 'working away' either.
    # Driving licence.
    # Fluent English.
    # Must have permanent right to live and work in the UK.

    Designing, programming and commissioning lighting control systems, primarily Lutron HomeWorks.
    # Installing and commissioning Lutron electric blinds and curtain tracks.
    # Helping to solve onsite lighting issues. Helping maintain the office premises and lighting displays.
