Job Title:
Cleaner

Location - Belfast City Hall

Five days a week, Monday-Friday (5pm-8.15pm, Monday-Thursday/4.30pm-7.30pm Friday)

Belfast City Council's Facilities Management section within the Legal and Civic Services department is seeking dedicated Cleaner to join their team.

As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Your Duties:

Perform general cleaning duties including washing and polishing fixtures, sweeping and polishing floors, and vacuuming carpets using mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.
Ensure daily cleaning of male and female toilets to maintain hygiene standards.
Attend council functions as required, assisting with cloakroom and kitchen duties.
Adhere to Health and Safety at Work regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Carry out duties in a manner that enhances the reputation of Belfast City Council.
Fulfil any other relevant duties as assigned.

Your Profile:

Essential Criteria:

Experience in carrying out cleaning duties, including the use of cleaning equipment.
Knowledge of safely using and storing cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Good interpersonal skills with a focus on customer care.
Awareness of health and safety responsibilities in the workplace.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Technical knowledge of using cleaning equipment and chemicals appropriately.
As part of the selection process, eligible applicants will be required to undertake and pass a knowledgebased test specific to this post.
