    To carry out, according to competency and with minimum supervision, those tasks necessary to achieve the objective of engineering maintenance and installation in accordance with the site HSE standards and desired site reliability and technical integrity.


    Please note this is a multi-skilled role but is heavily mechanically biased with small amounts of electrical workMulti Skilled Maintenance Engineer Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Must demonstrate a fundamental understanding of particular core skill area as Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Must be numerate and literate, capable of using written instructions and engineering drawings to correctly diagnose problems in equipment or systems on site.

    Maintain a high level awareness and commitment in the safety, health and environmental aspects of work in complying with all relevant site procedures.

    Carry out engineering activities in a safe manner, utilising appropriate personal protective equipment as specified. Be involved in all safety initiatives, i.e. audits, incident reporting, shutdown safety initiative, etc.

    Responsible for ensuring that good housekeeping standards are maintained and own activities, including the safe removal of all scrap engineering materials/general rubbish for your area of work.

    Use and participate in site work procedures. Carry out planned maintenance activities in order to facilitate the move from breakdown to planned maintenance on site. Participate, as required, in the construction, installation and commissioning of approved plant modifications and projects. Overhaul equipment to manufacturer's/site standards in order to provide cost effective maintenance on site. Assist inspection/testing activities as required, within own area of competence.

    Work flexibly in all required areas of the site and in close co-operation with other members of the business and the engineering team.

    Undergo further training for either plant equipment or engineering tools changes, and assist in the training of new personnel where necessary.


    Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Criteria:
    Possess the relevant electrical qualifications and engineering experience to be able to work safely within a manufacturing environment Possess fundamental engineering mechanical knowledge and skills Electrical experience 17th and/or 18th edition PLC experience is Apprentice trained in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering IT literate Team player Positive communicator - verbal and written Work flexibly and to high standards Ability to supervise and advise safely complete required tasks on site Understanding of EHS - PPE, H&S processes and obligations Understanding of Quality Systems, audits, use of PWI's Knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques - reduction in cost, waste and problem solving Experience of aluminium and extrusion manufacturing equipment and processes Strong adherence to health, safety, environment and quality standards Self-motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines Must be aware of and capable of working to engineering best practicesPro-Found Recruitment are an employment business and equal opportunities employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
