    Big Mamma is an Italian group founded in 2015 by Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger.

    Our wish is to share the authenticity and warmth of traditional Italian trattorias abroad. All produce is directly sourced from small Italian producers, dishes are 100% homemade, served at affordable prices, in beautifully designed spaces, and with a big smile.

    Every day, more than 10,000 customers visit Big Mamma restaurants throughout Europe (France, Spain, UK, Germany) and soon on the Moon Our strength is in four values: meritocracy, authenticity, excellence and entrepreneurship. They accompany its 2200 employees every day in its ultra-dynamic growth.

    We are offering a 6 months paid internship with possibility to extend, starting in June 2024. You will be based in London, with our office located in Soho.

    Your mission will be to ensure the availability of all food, beverage, and non-food products necessary to Big Mamma trattorias in the UK.

    Procurement

    • Manage the central warehouse stocks: ensure 100% availability of products (food, beverage, non food - crockery, glassware, silverware) by placing orders that respect suppliers' requirements, the restaurants' needs, consumption levels and delays, seasonal menu changes, expiration dates, while minimizing waste and breakage
    • Manage good communication between restaurants, logistics providers and suppliers: ensure the restaurants' day-to-day F&B procurement needs are met
    • Support sourcing and negotiations: provide required data analysis
    • Help ensure the respect of seasonality of product: provide correct information as to their availability and price
    • Contribute to maintaining the quality of data in the IT tools used, both in F&B and Operations: maintain an accurate database of information on the entirety of the F&B purchasing catalogue

    Logistics

    • Control all central supply orders, ensure their arrival at the restaurants: responsibility for timely and full deliveries into our warehouses and restaurants
    • Manage the day-to-day supply and distribution logistics: bring effective and efficient solutions for any purveying/logistics issues
    • Fulfil all necessary processes for the proper import of products: communication with agents, declarations on the government website, collection of documents
    • Contribute to the improvement of the supply chain as part of the B-CORP grading: participate in the groups' projects aiming to improve our environmental impact

    Menu management assistance

    • Help maintain the accuracy of data in the recipe database, POS tools, menus and dietary information sheets

    Requirements for application (non-negotiable)

    • Cover letter
    • Right to work in the UK
    • English + French and/or Italian
    • Strong level in Excel and mathematics
    • Bachelor's/ equivalent or Master's degree in business, economics, F&B Management or Engineering/Mathematics
    • Outstanding organisational skills
    • Passion for and understanding of food & beverage
    • Proficient Excel/sheet skills
    • Practical mind with a strong interest in operations
    • Analytical thinking, understanding of finance
    • Strong communication skills

    Monday - Friday

    Fix term contract 6 months with possibility to extend
