Finance Business Partner - Drive Strategic Financial Management:

The Oak Partnership is seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Finance Business Partner to support the Trust's Chief Finance Officer in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all financial data to both statutory and regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders


The Oak Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust consisting of primary and special schools based in the Somerset Local Authority.

The integrity of the financial data is paramount to assist all leadership teams in making good educational decisions based on sound financial data reported through the management accounts.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Monthly consolidation of the Trust's management accounts,
  • Review and analysis of key funding streams along with supporting with the production of all statutory reporting information.

Who We're Looking For:


  • At least 5 years bookkeeping experience (e.g. processing and reconciliations)
  • Experience of successfully managing and developing staff
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, BACS and Accounting Systems
  • Proven track record of working to tight deadlines
  • Developing and implementing efficient processes

Essential Qualifications and Skills:


  • Accountancy (AAT level)
  • Accountancy (ACA/ACCA/CIMA level) or equivalent school based qualification highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to analyse data and use the analysis to monitor and support activities to promote solutions
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines demonstrating strong organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of purchase and cashbook ledger procedures and controls (e.g. reconciliations)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a committed team player able to make a positive contribution
  • The right to work in the UK.

Salary:


  • Qualified: NJC points 36 to 39 £ £4742
  • Part Qualified: NJC Points 32 to 35 £ 40221£4342
  • Salary dependent on qualifications and experience. A training support package can be provided to enable qualifications to be completed.
