    Business Development Manager – Maritime

    Location: Hybrid role with access to London, Cardiff, and East Yorkshire offices

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager – Maritime to join our team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across London, Cardiff, and East Yorkshire offices, contributing to the growth plans the organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the port agency and chartering industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the development of a market-driven sales strategy to stimulate business growth.
    • Establish and manage a monthly sales pipeline to drive revenue generation.
    • Account management of existing customers, identifying growth opportunities and enhancing business relationships.
    • Prepare quotations and lead tendering/proposal opportunities, ensuring high-quality submissions.
    • Maintain a comprehensive sales database using CRM software to track contacts, targets, and actions.
    • Represent the company at industry events to generate leads and promote services.
    • Collaborate with Group Marketing Services to develop a marketing plan covering all relevant requirements.
    • Manage the onboarding process for new accounts, ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders.

    About You:

    • Experienced Business Development Manager or Executive with a proven track record in the maritime industry.
    • Demonstrated success in business development and revenue generation, with a proactive sales approach.
    • Knowledgeable about the maritime, ships agency, and vessel chartering industry, with a keen awareness of market trends and opportunities.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
    • Established network and credibility within the industry, with good UK port contacts.
    • Solid understanding of ship agency and vessel chartering, including logistics, ports, terminals, and trade policies.
    • Relationship builder with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
    • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
    • Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Full UK Driving license with willingness to cover the UK.
    • Flexibility to attend networking events, dinners, and exhibitions.
    • Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
