Description
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist Principle who is passionate about promoting the emotional health and wellbeing of adults who are coping with the impact of persistent symptoms caused by energy limiting conditions including Long Covid, ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to applyYou will work be part of an integrated multi-professional team providing individualised rehabilitation to people with persistent symptoms.
You will work closely with colleagues including Practitioner Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Exercise Professionals to deliver a co-produced psychological care pathway in a needs-led way with a specific focus on meeting the psychological needs of people who are coping energy limiting conditions.
This will involve direct clinical work, group work, consultation, supervision, teaching, and training as well as developing resources and supporting staff in the wider Health Board.
Within the wider Physical Health Speciality there are services in Respiratory, Chronic Pain, Long Covid, Weight Management, Neuro-Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Hepatology and Continuing Care.
We would also invite applications from newly qualified clinicians as there is a potential for this role to be a development post with the appropriate supervision and processes in place.

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology accredited by the BPS or equivalent accredited by the BPS
Other related academic questions
Doctorate training across a range of client groups but must include Children
Significant experience of working with people with chronic health conditions and their families
Has complete at least 10 training days per year on courses relevant to the provision of Psychology in Physical Health
Has begun to develop special expertise in a relevant clinical area and to have undergone or is undergoing post qualification training in it as part of the CPD process
