Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Secondary (KS3 and 4)

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Provide general inclass support to students in KS3 and
Work closely with the class teacher to ensure that the needs of all students are met
Support students who have challenging behaviour and are at risk of exclusion
Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning
Provide feedback to the class teacher on the progress of individual students
Attend regular meetings with the SENCO and other members of the school's pastoral team

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream secondary school
A relevant qualification in Education or Teaching Assistance
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
The ability to work with students who have challenging behaviour and are at risk of exclusion
A positive and proactive attitude towards work
A valid DBS check
