    Main duties of the job As the Assistant Director in the Chief Executives Office working directly to the Chief Executive and closely with other members of the Executive Team you will be responsible for ensuring actions assigned to the Chief Executive are taken forward by engaging and working with teams from across the Trust and partners across the wider health and social care system and will have agreed delegated responsibilities in strategy development and policy initiatives, particularly focussed on integrated partnership working and tackling health inequities. You will also be responsible for ensuring the Chief Executive is briefed and prepared for all meetings and events with appropriate information, presentations, speeches, and background. Job description Job responsibilities The post holder will be responsible for providing a high-level executive support service for the Chief Executive.

    • Ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels of LTHT and within partner organisations
    • A high level of leadership, communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make effective judgments involving highly complex and multi-stranded facts or situations which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a ran
    • Ability to quickly understand issues involving highly complex, sensitive and/or contentious information and communicate them clearly and succinctly to all levels within and outside the Trust
    Qualifications Essential
    • Qualifications: Degree and post graduate diploma in relevant subject or equivalent experience

    Experience Essential
    • Understanding of the strategic context of the NHS and wider health and social care environment
    • Extensive experience of working at a senior level in a large and complex organisation
    • Experience in the preparation of general correspondence and management reports
    • Experience of engaging with colleagues without authority to effectively to deliver against priorities
    Desirable
    • Understanding of project management including PRINCE 2 methodology
