Description
To greet all visitors/patients who enter the department and approach the Reception Desk. Providing an efficient service, including the reception of, staff, patients and visitors to the department.- To ensure as far as possible, that the Receptionist is always available in the reception area.
- To be responsible for the general quality and appearance of the reception area.
- To receive all incoming post and process in a timely manner, and ensure all outgoing post is similarly processed.
- Communication with stakeholders including trainees, clinicians, managers, patients, other colleagues, and workers from other agencies.
- Recording, archiving, and recalling files as necessary.
- To be involved in trainee satisfaction surveys, risk assessments and staff questionnaires, as required by the departmental management team.
- To be available, once fully trained, to assist within the bookings team and book patients where required.
