EU Corporate Finance Controller

Northampton (NN4) | Permanent

£60,000 per annum | 9AM-5.30PM Monday-Friday | Office Based


Our client who is a market leader in the IT managed service industry, based on the outskirts of Northampton are seeking a EU Corporate Controller to join them on a full-time temporary basis.

Duties

  • Oversee all accounting activities ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate new technical accounting developments and recommend appropriate actions; drive process improvement at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage European accounting team, operations, tax, and financial reporting.
  • Manage tax, audit and insurance relationships.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns with outside firms.
  • Manage monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Maintenance of fixed asset records for coordinating quarterly inventory of fixed assets with the IT department.
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  • Collaboration between multiple business unit teams to increase efficiency in consolidated financial reporting.
  • Carry out integration of finance and accounting systems as it relates to future M&A
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5+ years of experience working as a controller within a SaaS company.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP and technical accounting.
  • Experience in designing and implementing accounting processes and controls
  • Track record of building, developing and leading high performance accounting teams in a fastpaced organization
  • Analytical; high attention to detail, organized with exceptional timemanagement skills
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels in the organization in a concise and timely manner
  • Capable of becoming a key member of the senior leadership team
