EU Corporate Finance Controller
Northampton (NN4) | Permanent
£60,000 per annum | 9AM-5.30PM Monday-Friday | Office Based
Our client who is a market leader in the IT managed service industry, based on the outskirts of Northampton are seeking a EU Corporate Controller to join them on a full-time temporary basis.
- Oversee all accounting activities ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Evaluate new technical accounting developments and recommend appropriate actions; drive process improvement at all levels of the organization.
- Manage European accounting team, operations, tax, and financial reporting.
- Manage tax, audit and insurance relationships.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns with outside firms.
- Manage monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements and related footnotes.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Maintenance of fixed asset records for coordinating quarterly inventory of fixed assets with the IT department.
- Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Collaboration between multiple business unit teams to increase efficiency in consolidated financial reporting.
- Carry out integration of finance and accounting systems as it relates to future M&A
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5+ years of experience working as a controller within a SaaS company.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and technical accounting.
- Experience in designing and implementing accounting processes and controls
- Track record of building, developing and leading high performance accounting teams in a fastpaced organization
- Analytical; high attention to detail, organized with exceptional timemanagement skills
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels in the organization in a concise and timely manner
- Capable of becoming a key member of the senior leadership team
