The role
We are recruiting for a BDX Data Analyst in London.
This is a newly created role and is a great opportunity for someone to shape the role and work closely with colleagues in London & Hannover.
The BDX Analyst will be accountable and responsible for mapping all agents Premium, Risk and Claims bordereaux data into the BDX system and maintaining the data.
This will include understanding data requirements and serving various internal stakeholders in order to improve performance and profitability of variousbusiness functions.
Key accountabilities
- Responsible for setting up facilities (agency agreements) in BDX, reviewing and keeping up to date the mapping and bordereaux processed into BDX
- Assist in developing inhouse capabilities in conjunction with IT, where required, to enable access and usage of data
- Owns the queries and blockers preventing data upload into BDX, responds to queries or raise them with the responsible team/stakeholder, including highlighting and rectifying data quality issues
- Responsible for production and development of MI reporting to key customers (UW, Claims, and Actuaries etc), assisting with adhoc requests and reporting from stakeholders, plus regular monthly reporting
- Assist in, producing and collating data to complete all regulatory reporting within deadlines and validating with internal systems
- Responsible for analysis of data, implementation and maintaining process controls to ensure the quality of the output data. Proactively challenges and analyses data in order to pick our trends and data errors
- Coordinate with stakeholders and Head Office to ensure standardized approach and 'one version of the truth' data used across the business
Skills & experience
- Experience of a bordereaux system, ideally Watertrace with knowledge of IQroute and SQL
- Good knowledge of Bordereau reporting
- Good working knowledge of the fundamentals of P&C insurance
- Basic understanding of DA Underwriting / Claims
- Experience of working closely with Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial and various internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial information sensibly to ensure accurate and consistent information is being provided at all times
- Be able to influence opinion to achieve desired outcomes
- The ability to make sound judgments under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities
