The details.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Executive support to x2 SVP
- 's including setting up meetings and managing calendars, delegation of approvals for team expenses, business travel and leave. Organising and managing travel to Company events, external conferences, speaking events and all other business meetings. Completing documentation and seeking signatures on business documentation. Submitting and reconciling expenses.

  • Team leader support including scheduling meetings, exploring business travel options and booking airport transfers, conference registration assistance, looking at team spend and working closely with accounts ensuring all costs are assigned accordingly and securing academic papers for team members.
  • To be in touch with the R & D team members and have an understanding of the work and opportunities to promote at Oxford Nanopore, to build relationships and become the point of contact for R & D admin.
  • To work closely with the whole Corporate Operations team and align on processes and procedures to enable the correct support to the R & D Teams.
  • To organise any R & D social events. Contribute to the Corp Operations team
- 's SharePoint page and to build out an internal communication page for the R & D team.

  • Raising purchase requisitions for regular spend on our financial management system, D365 for costs incurred in the R & D teams and provide training if needed on raising purchase requisitions.
  • To assist and coordinate new vendor setup in D365 for R & D spend.
  • Ad hoc projects that may arise in the R & D team.
  • Providing cover for members of the Corporate Operations team during absences.
Any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.


What we're looking for.


We'll expect you to have a strong background in administration and office roles, ideally in busy and varied environments and excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with an eye for detail.

You have a focus on your customers at all times and are a great communicator with an excellent telephone manner.

Ideally, you have a degree and an administration or business qualification, although this is not essential.


You know your way around Microsoft office, can work independently with mínimal direction and under pressure and enjoy using your initiative to aid decision making.

In addition, you understand the importance of taking a confidential approach.
