    As a Workshop Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We're looking for a Technician with some experience in metalwork/machine fabrication.

    This role consists of a 30 hour working week, Monday to Thursday with Fridays off.
    The ideal candidate will have working experience of lathes, milling machines, drills/various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and gas welding).

    This role involves not only the technical aspects of metalworking but also requires effective communication and collaboration with customers throughout the projects.


    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Make/Fix/Manufacture anything that is needed on site.
    Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor ensuring the highest engineering principles and procedures are always followed.
    Always adhere to the Health and Safety policy and directives.

    Provide tuition as required to the Section Apprentice ensuring and a can-do attitude to training and development are always prevalent.

    Any other tasks required to ensure a smooth operation.


    Skills and Qualifications:
    Experience as a Workshop Technician or similar role in operating lathes/milling machines.
    Experience operating lathes, milling machines, drills/various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and gas welding)

    Ability to work on own initiative independently and as part of a team.
    Full UK Manual driving licenceNormal colour perception graded as CP2 (can be checked at your local opticians)MB573:
