Job Details

If you are passionate about all things shopper & consumer, enjoy a challenge and thrive in a commercial environment then this role could be for you.

Within a flexible working environment, as a LinkQ Consumer Insight Consultant your work will have a direct impact on our clients' success.

Your role involves building highly actionable survey-powered solutions that help our clients' brands and businesses grow.

LinkQ is our bespoke questionnaire service, powered by our multitude of behavioural panels.

As a specialist area that uses our outstanding knowledge of shopper behaviour combined with technology enabled platforms, this enables us to identify key shopper attitudes and purchase choices clients need to grow their brands.

This is an exciting time to join a team highlighted as a growth platform for our business, in double digit growth, and where you can play a key role in influencing the evolving offer for future growth.

You will hold responsibility for helping to sell, build and run bespoke quantitative projects across our broadest range of clients with brands we know and love.

This goes beyond FMCG into categories such as toys, DIY, sports, fashion, beauty etc.

Your training will include learning skills in developing bespoke questionnaires, allowing you to develop your skillset at Kantar further by working in more of an ad hoc 'custom-style' environment; having direct responsibility over the creation of new, compelling insights for your clients.

The overall LinkQ offer focuses on shopper, innovation, category and brand strategy but is developing all the time and you will also get the opportunity to shape this.

The key to the role is unlocking client potential for LinkQ by inspiring your colleagues who work day-to-day with their clients.

You will do this through partnering with them to build knowledge, offer ideas, listening to their client and industry issues and ultimately building a strong network for the offer.

In this role you will be the eyes and ears with newer clients, listen to their feedback and develop new commercial ideas for new thinking.

As a senior member of the team, this means getting heavily involved in department strategy - championing the service, improving levels of insight, maintaining levels of data quality as well as service innovation and deliverables.

KEY OUTCOMES

  • Revenue and building future growth: Delivery against our commercial team targets, identifying opportunities to meet and exceed these targets. Raising awareness of our offer internally and externally, identifying new opportunities by listening to client needs and bringing new insights and thinking to our solutions.
  • Clients: Act as the senior contact on all clients you work with setting an example to the team through adding value to client relationships. Implementing our ideas and delivering world class projects, ensuring they return to work with us time and time again
  • Insight: You will own the briefing, pitching and solution design as well as be the client lead on projects. This will always involve being able to write questionnaires, inputs that deliver the insights we need when combined with actual shopper behaviour. This will also see you responsible for overall quality of work as well as mentoring and leading the other team members (junior colleagues) as well as advising client service lead and other project team members.
  • Team: This role will line manage 12 people initially, but as a part of a closely knit team with additional resource support, the expectation will be to collaborate with other colleagues as needed.

CAPABILITIES

  • Commercially strong and able to spot sales opportunities and convert them.
  • Custom research or questionnaire knowledge a real advantage.
  • Be a very strong team player and be able to 'bring people with you' in the work you do
  • Excellent proposal writing skills
  • Be confident crafting solutions that connect insights to clients plans or strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to put together insightful and impactful presentations, and support others in this.
  • Confident and experienced presenter who is able to present to large groups whether in a pitch or a presentation and have real impact in doing so.
  • Good attention to detail, strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Willing to adopt, drive and suggest change.
  • Build strong networks internally with account teams & externally with clients.
  • Custom / adhoc experience highly desirable, or strong background in account management roles
