    Job title: CAD Engineer

    Location: Remote (occasional travel to Farmborough)

    Contract length: 6 months

    Pay rate: (Apply online only) per day

    Randstad Sourceright, a worldwide RPO & MSP Recruitment Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lighting Control Design Engineer to join a multinational technologies company that operates in over 90+ countries.

    They are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer to join their busy team for 6 months to help with the upturn in work they recently had.

    You will be responsible for creating security models and drawings for Critical National Infrastructure sites, ensuring that a comprehensive set of design deliverables and drawings are submitted.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop and engineer high quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools.
    • Produce CAD designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation and timing.
    • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with company design, safety, quality, customer compliance and procedures.
    • Interact with designers and engineers, to obtain critical design information necessary to complete the project within the intended time frame.
    • Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
    • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
    • Consult with designers & engineers to determine design needs & requirements.
    • Develop detailed 2-D plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of equipment & fixtures using computer-aided design (CAD) software and graphics software.
    • Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings as required for design needs.
    • Attend design / conference call meetings as and when required.
    • Ensuring drawings meet project specifications

    Experience and Skills

    • Previous experience Autocad 2D and Autocad REVIT within a similar environment (construction, engineering, civils)
    • Experience creating layout drawings, schematics and schedules
    • Experience of REVIT scheduling functionality
    • Experience within the utilities or energy industry.
    • Strong people skills, and ability to work with a wide variety of staff and clients.
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to multitask.
    • Ability to meet deadlines, well organised and able to work under pressure.
    • Participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training
