Supportability (ILS) Engineer

Location: North Yorkshire

Working pattern: Hybrid – Remote with some site/office visits

This role is currently confidential, but we will be able to disclose more information about the client if you are suitable for the role.

What you'll need:

• degree or equivalent
• years of experience in a similar role
• verbal and written communication skills
• of defence standards supportability and related specifications
• hold, or be able to obtain, Security Clearance
• of engineering drawings
• of the use of ILS Tools to influence the design

It would also be advantageous to have:

• of engineering systems and maintenance
• system implementation and maintenance
• of completing configuration audits

What you'll be doing:

• the Project team (project managers, project engineers and lead engineers) to utilise ILS tools to influence the design of the end product.
• and developing bespoke ILS Plans in line with the customers' individual contracted service deliverables.
• ILS Plan updates in line with contract amendments.
• with the definition and development of product support engineering capability, as required by performance-based logistic support contracts.
• compliance with defined ILS procedures.
• the company's configuration management system to ensure continuity throughout the ILS process.
