Description

We are looking for a senior assistant audiologist to assist with the adult hearing aid service, the assessment of children's hearing and administrative support of the Hearing Services Team.

The post is based at the Primary Care Centre Colchester, with travel to other clinical sites including Clacton Hospital and Harwich Hospital.


In order to be considered for this post you should have experience of working with young children and adults, have an interest in helping people who have hearing problems and an awareness of the difficulties they may encounter.

Responsible for the provision of routine hearing aid maintenance and repair clinics.

Responsible for the provision of postal repair service

Responsible for instructing patients on the use of hearing aids

Taking ear mould impressions for new and existing hearing aid users

Assisting the Audiologists in a range of clinical and diagnostic duties including assisting with hearing assessments of young children

Taking responsibility for organising repair of audiological equipment
