**Job Description

Grade 3 - £ 27,030 - £ 28,698 pa - 36 hours per week (between 6am and 10.30pm by rota)**Within this role you will be responsible for the safety and security of the campus buildings, their keys and applicable tools.

You will need to be physically fit and healthy because you will be very active and on your feet most of the day.

You will carry out regular patrols of the campus both internally and externally as well as carrying out room moves and room set ups.

You will need to assist, as appropriate, with disruptive & aggressive situations within the building.

You will need to place repair requests and control access of the contractors attending the sites and any other authorised persons.

You will need to carry out weekly compliance tests (alarms, water, lights - training will be given).

This role will suit someone who enjoys DIY because you will be required to carry out minor maintenance including, but not limited to, replacing light consumables, clearing blocked drains.

Keeping the buildings, their grounds and access routes, inside and outside, clear of rubbish, debris and vegetation. To hang banners and flags at flag raising ceremonies and ensuring the correct flags are flying at all times.

You will also need to assist with the emergency evacuations including being a first aider, for which training will be given.

You will be dealing with residents, vistors, staff and contractors and will be expected to uphold the high reputation of the Council at all times.

A sense of humour is always useful.
