    We are proud to be working with Strathmore Estates on a retained basis to recruit a Financial Controller as part of the Senior Management Team.


    The role:


    This is a highly visible role, which will see you managing the day to day financial operations of the estates and working closely with heads of department to develop and maintain budgets & forecasts and financial models to support day to day operations as well as strategic decision making.


    Reporting to the Estates Director and with regular interaction with the Board of Trustees, you will contribute positively within your capacity, to optimise income while improving the natural assets and infrastructure and provide a safe and thriving environment now and in the future.

    Spanning an impressive 14,500 acres, the historic estates comprise of Glamis Castle, a let property portfolio, a 6500 acre in hand farm with arable and beef enterprises, forestry, sporting, a rough shoot, deer stalking and a simulated shooting enterprise, and a forestry enterprise.


    What we are looking for:


    You will have strong and relevant experience in a similar role and held responsibility for providing financial control over a group of companies with strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.


    Effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-finance stakeholders is required as is experience of managing a finance team.
