    Main duties of the job

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Band6 Clinical Development Facilitator to join ourteam.

    Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential to be able to demonstrate support to Nurses and Students. We aim to provide the best healthcare to our patients through advocating person-centred care and championing the value and autonomy of older adults.

    We are dedicated to developing our staff and ensuring the highest possible standard of care is provided in a clean, comfortable, and safe will be supported by the Professional Lead nurse, Clinical Development nurse, Matrons, Senior Ward Nurses, and the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing or equivalent experience Current registration with NMC
  • Teaching& Assessing Qualification, SLAiP, ENB 998, City& Guilds 730 or equivalent
  • Professional knowledge acquired through knowledge of mentorship, education and development practice, to postgraduate diploma level equivalent
  • Evidence of recent relevant Continuous Professional Development activity Leadership skills.
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Relevant experience of working within inpatient services
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring and assessment.
  • Experience developing and coordinating educational packages
  • Experience in monitoring and assessing clinical practice
  • Skills/ Knowledge

    Essential

  • Understanding of the needs of ethnic minority patients and staff
  • Ability to generate written communication which are relevant, concise, accurate and legible across all aspects of training and evaluation
  • Ability to verbally communicate information/techniques that are easily understood and acted upon
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate adaptability
