Description

The growth in our client's business has been rapid and with the recent retention of long-term customer contracts, they are looking for additional support within their small team.

They are therefore, seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant who can assistthe Financial Director and Business Controller.


Outline Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Purchase Ledger (excluding stock items)
  • Bank Transactions and reconciliations including bank feeds
  • Staff Expenses through AutoEntry or similar package
  • Invoicing (shared)
  • Cost analysis and reporting
  • Credit control
  • VAT: Making Tax Digital compliance, VAT Returns
  • Misc HMRC enquiries
  • Payroll (8 staff) and associated duties
  • P11D's, Class 1A etc
  • Excel modelling for management accounts and performance analysis
  • Further development of the SAGE 50 Professional accounting package reporting and documentation
  • Trader Support Services supplementary declarations (few)
  • An understanding of import documentation requirements would be useful
  • Customs Declaration Service
  • Trader Support Service (for movement between NI and mainland)

Software Experience Requirements:


  • Sage 50 Professional advanced
  • Advanced Excel
  • AutoEntry or similar package for expenses
