    In this role, you will:

    • Lead complex development of system changes into any of the supported Credit Risk systems. Manage multiple changes within your team ensuring all changes delivered to Credit Risk System's BAU process.
    • Fully support the banks transformation programmes and work with RoI & UK Retail businesses to identify and analyse change opportunities, propose pragmatic solutions, document and justify recommendations.
    • Design, code, and document credit risk systems
    • Undertake & document testing and implementation of strategy and scorecard changes into live environment.
    • Monitor system changes post implementation to ensure performance matches expectations. Ensure adherence to a testing & release process.

    What will make you stand out?


    You will need substantial experience of working within a Credit Risk Systems environment or similar environment.

    You will have a track record of delivering change into customer impacting production environments (e.g. PCO, PCCM, TRIAD, CACS, ADM, TRANSACT 5, NBSM, Probe, LinkSM, ADM)

    With excellent analytical and problem solving skills you will be highly organised with good planning and time management skills.

    Finally good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience will be a must

    In addition to the systems stated above, any experience of the below coding languages and operating systems would be advantageous but not essential:

    • COBOL, SAS, Python, VBA, C
    • Z/OS Mainframe (TSO, Fileaid, JCL)
    • TSYS (TS2)
    • FD (First Vision or Vision Plus)
    • Unix (Shell Scripting)
    • AS400

    Enterprise Risk is under our Group Risk area and is responsible for supporting the business in making great credit decisions. The Credit Risk Systems team is responsible for delivering new credit risk decision engines and maintaining the existing systems across the Bank of Ireland Group.

    Our analysts are in high demand across the group due to their varied and in-depth knowledge of core systems and decision engines. We are involved in the development and integration of systems across the group.

    This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the UK with the primary office location of Bristol. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - frequency to be agreed with manager.
