    Folio is a specialist recruitment agency in London's interior design market. We provide employment consultancy for the leading practices, boutique studios to global groups.

    We have been retained to support the hiring of a Senior/Associate FF&E Designer. The main focus of this position is to lead the way FF&E schemes for prime residential and commercial projects throughout the UK. This role presents an exciting chance to progress your career, collaborating closely with clients and company owners to mentor the team and drive business growth.

    The successful candidate will take the lead in client interactions, cultivating strong relationships while supporting the directors in business development efforts as a respected industry figure. They will play a pivotal role in translating and refining client briefs to ensure clear communication across the company, demonstrating proficiency in presenting design concepts to clients. Moreover, the candidate will oversee a small team and be responsible for crafting detailed FF&E direction and specifications, including the procurement process, from purchase orders to deliveries.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
    • Degree qualification in Interior Design or related field required
    • Demonstrated track record in handling both residential and hospitality projects
    • Previous experience in line management, supervising junior and intermediate designers
    • Extensive network and familiarity with furniture suppliers
    • In-depth understanding of products, materials, and supplier landscape
    • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
    • Understanding of financial aspects in project management, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
    • Ability to adapt to various styles to effectively address client briefs
    • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, including furniture shop drawings
    • Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
    • Self-motivated individual who excels in collaborative environments, upholds a positive outlook, and persistently seeks solutions to challenges as they arise
    • Competency in Adobe CS and AutoCAD
    • Familiarity with Estimac or similar software for FF&E scheduling
