- You will ensure that all care plans are followed to ensure that the service users receive the level of support appropriate to them and to better understand their individual likes and dislikes, tailoring your support accordingly.
- You will undertake personal care duties as well as observation checks to ensure that the residents are safe and their hygiene is maintained.
- You will take part in activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained during their stay at the service.
- You will ensure the safe use moving and handling equipment (inc. hoists, slide sheets and rotundas) to assist the residents around the property as required.
- You will always oversee the health and safety of the service users under your care.
- You may be required to undertake some basic cleaning duties, ensuring that all relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures are followed.

- Have a minimum of 3 months of paid UK work experience within a care home or nursing home setting.

You will be working in a well maintained retirement home that caters for the needs of up to 27 elderly service users who are living with various age-related illness, the home also offers a respite service. The home in based within Burton and is accessible on public transport but we are looking for local carers to cover the staffing needs of the home.
