SENIOR COVER SUPERVISOR
Pay Range:
Local Government Scale 6 (Point 13-17)
Salary:
£21,388 - £23,014 per annum
Start Date:
As soon as possible
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks (term-time plus non-pupil days)
The Role
We are seeking an outstanding individual to co-ordinate the daily cover arrangements and deployment of cover supervisors and to supervise whole classes during the absence of teachers.
Cover Supervisors will give instructions for the lesson as provided by a teacher and the primary focus of the role will be to maintain good order and to keep students on task.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- To arrange the deployment of cover staff and supply staff
- To meet, greet and equip supply staff
- To supervise classes in the absence of the teacher
- To supervise individuals or very small groups of students as required.
- Supervise students during lunch and break times as required

We're looking for you if you have:
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Good knowledge of child development and learning processes and reasonable understanding of the education system.
- Ability to provide consistent professional standards regarding work and behaviour.
