Are you an experienced Machinist who has experience in both CNC Operation and manual machining?

We are pleased to be supporting a Sheffield-based engineering manufacturer in the recruitment of several experienced Machinists on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued production requirements and projects.

As their newly appointed Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up machines in accordance with the customer requirements and internal procedures.

This will also include inspecting components before and after machining as well as maintaining accurateidentification against route cards. This sometimes includes working on two machines in tandem.

Duties and responsibilities:

Work accurately to customer requirements.
Read detailed engineering drawings.
Setting up machines.
Visually inspect and check machined components.
Operate manual Vertical Borers.
Operate manual Big Lathes.
Use measuring equipment.
Maximise the efficient use of machinery.
Working without supervision, ensuring the production of quality machined parts.

About You:

Be a fully skilled machinist who displays competence and accuracy in all machining processes.
Able to use measuring equipment
Verniers, Gauges, and Micrometers.
Experience in following written instructions from SOPs, Technique sheets, drawings, and specifications.
Have experience in operating CNC machines.
Organised and selfmotivated personality.
Proactive and forwardthinking individual.
Be a team player.

What would make you stand out? (Desirable)

The ability to set up and program Fanuc controls.
A recognised apprenticeship.
