This is a newly created within our innovative Data Operations team; there's a real opportunity to make a difference to the efficiency and productivity of the team whilst making the role your own.

***As a Meteorologist you will work closely with our Flight Operations team within close timeframes to provide them with data and expert advice to enhance or adjust their flight planning and survey scheduling in response to rapidly changing weather situations. You will also upskill our Flight Operations team and wider Survey Delivery and Wildlife Consultancy teams with a broader and deeper meteorological understanding for them to make more informed weather decisions and effective communications with clients.


About you


As an expert in meteorology, you will have the opportunity to have a key strategic operational influence in survey decision making and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organisation, with a long-term opportunity to shape organisation culture through developing people's knowledge and understanding the impact of weather decisions.

You will have proven experience in aviation and/or operational meteorology, including the use of advanced meteorological techniques and tools.

Due to the nature of the role we would expect you to have knowledge of UK and global weather forecasting models and data types/sources.

Furthernore you'll have knowledge of seasonal and temporal variance in Europe and Atlantic weather system, climate drivers and their implications on the weather forecast.
