The Role


Due to continuous growth, we are seeking an Apprentice to join the Electrical Contracting division within the Wrexham Business Unit.

Electricians install, maintain and repair electrical systems in industrial, commercial and domestic environments.

Electrical equipment and systems may include switchboards, motors, cables, fuses, thermal relays, fault current protection switches, heating, lighting, air conditioning and metering equipment as well as crime and fire alarm systems and renewable energy technologies.

Electrical safety is an important area of Electricians' work. On completion of their work the electrical systems must be safe to use. They must adhere to safe working practices without endangering themselves or others.


Responsibilities
This qualification has been designed in partnership with JIB to ensure relevance to the sector.

By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have satisfied the requirements for registration as Eng Tech by the Engineering Council.

Your Key Responsibilities & Accountability on completion of apprenticeship include:

  • Oversee and organise the work environment

Who we want

The apprenticeship will include day release study at Yale College / Coleg Cambria.

The following qualifications are attained through this apprenticeship:

  • Technical Certificate C&G in Electrical Power Engineering Level
  • SHEA Power (EUSR)
  • BESC Basic Electrical Safety Competence (EUSkills)
  • Power Network Craftsperson Level 3
