Buyers Administrator - 12 month FTC


A leading financial organisation based in Coventry are currently looking for a Buyers administrator to join the team on a 12 FTC maternity cover.

In this role you will be assisting the procurement team dealing with tenders, buying services (non IT) and general administration of the procurement team.


The company needs a proactive and confident individual with good communication who can effectively and efficiently work in the team and in the role.

Ideally you will come from a procurement background but this is not essential.


Role Description:

  • Ensuring value for money is delivered (through savings & cost avoidance) whilst demonstrating full compliance in all 3rd party contracts through analysis, planning, negotiation, and adherence to the Society's procurement and contracting policies.
  • Proactive management of supplier contracts, ensuring suppliers are on fitforpurpose contract terms in line with legal requirements.
  • Bench marking and negotiation of existing 3rd party supply contracts. Ensuring optimum market pricing is achieved, offering solutions including switching to more costeffective options.
  • Support in drafting and execution of RFP activities in line with category strategies.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, and supply base, including with our budget owners.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, review business cases, and provide market insight to aid sourcing decision making.
  • Support The Society's ESG agenda through sourcing and supplier initiatives.
  • Identify and track commercial benefits across our supply base.
