Purpose of the post


This is an exciting and energetic role for hardworking individuals who is passionate about providing good quality mental health care and support within a rewarding environment.

We have received additional funding to continue supporting our community The variety of the role will keep things fresh and stimulating whilst being part of a supportive team in the Enhanced Access service.


The Extended Access practitioner will deliver 1-1 phone support to clients who are registered at a GP surgery in Bradford and Craven.

The shifts are 3.5 hours each between 18:1- 21:45.

During your shift, you will speak with three clients (aged 11+), offering them an hour-long appointment and you will provide early intervention support.

The support you provide will be focused on identifying client's individual needs and supporting them to make positive changes to get well and stay well, whether this be through practical advice, guidance, or completing onward referrals with clients into long-term support services across Bradford and Craven District.

Each session will last 45 minutes and will have 15 minutes admin time to write up your case notes. There is also an additional 30 minutes to complete any outstanding administrative tasks required.

Whilst your base location will be classed as Kenburgh House, Bradford, this role is currently

carried out
remotely and you will work from home.


This exciting role will appeal to those who have some experience of working in a mental health setting with young people or adults, and are able to work both independently and as part of an innovative team.

You should be extremely passionate about encouraging clients to achieve positive changes in their lives, and understand the current challenges those with mental health needs may face.

It is an essential requirement that you have excellent IT skills to record and maintain client records.

It is expected that you will understand other signposting organisations across the Bradford District that can support our clients, however we will provide further training for this should you require this.


Salary scale:
£11.87 per hour increasing to £12.63 on successful completion of a probationary period.

Hours:
Minimum of 7 hours per week depending on how many clinics being applied for. Applicants must select pick at least 2 clinics (7 hours)

  • Craven 3.5 hours, flexible on the day
  • Monday 3.5 hours (3 posts)
  • Tuesday 3.5 hours (2 posts)
  • Wednesday 3.5 hours (1 post)
  • Thursday 3.5 hours (2 posts)
  • Friday 3.5 hours (3 posts)

Contract:
Fixed Term to 31st March 2024

Location:

Whilst your base location will be classed as Kenburgh House, Bradford, this role will
remotely and will work from home.
